The International Solo dance competition is an event made possible by synergies and international collaborations with the goal of ensuring candidates specific visibility and a direct relationship with the directors attending as guest judges of the competition.
The predominant aspect of these collaborations will be represented by the artistic partnership exclusively for Italy with the Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival in Stuttgart directed by Marcelo Santos.
A series of professional opportunities will be proposed and communicated directly during the competition to candidates with the overall best artistic profile regardless of the final ranking.
A parallel side of the competition will analyze the winning “creation” with a consequent professional proposal for the author.
The first phase of the award ceremony includes a series of possible invitations from the members of the jury to participate as a professional dancer at their theaters.
The nature of the collaboration with the guest directors on the jury authorizes them to make any artistic and professional proposals regardless of the results of the final ranking.
In addition for the best dancers, study periods and scholarships will be made available in exclusive national and international contexts.
Director Marcelo Santos will select the dancers with the most complete profile to be admitted directly to the finals of the Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival in Stuttgart.
The selection made by Marcelo Santos will then be submitted to his artistic team in Germany to validate and subsequently officialize the choices of the artists reported in the competition.
The direction of the competition will establish an absolute prize for the best Solo presented:
Senior € 1.500,00
Junior € 800,00
Details relating to the opportunities proposed by the jury will be communicated in the coming months via the web page and social channels dedicated to the event.
Special Prizes. The jury, regardless of the final ranking, could express a direct invitation for the dancers considered most interesting, through various professional proposals or in relation to periods of study with the companies they direct.
